Professor Randy Pausch has inspired and touched many people throughout his 47 years of life and will continue to live on through the dreams of many people. He had the most positive outlook on life. As I read this book, I reflected upon my own achievements, memories, struggles, goals, and what I hold valuable in my life. I LOVE this book.. it made me laugh, cry, gave me strength and courage to become someone great!
Professor Pausch said, "Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted. And experience is often the most valuable thing you have to offer."
With all the "experience" I've had in this last couple of years, I know that it truly has shaped me into the woman that I know the Lord sees in me. How grateful I am for my experiences in life for they make me who I am today.

A lot of professors give talks titled "The Last Lecture." Professors are asked to consider their demise and to ruminate on what matters most to them. And while they speak, audiences can't help but mull the same question: What wisdom would we impart to the world if we knew it was our last chance? If we had to vanish tomorrow, what would we want as our legacy?
When Randy Pausch, a computer science professor at Carnegie Mellon, was asked to give such a lecture, he didn't have to imagine it as his last, since he had recently been diagnosed with terminal cancer. But the lecture he gave—"Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams"—wasn't about dying. It was about the importance of overcoming obstacles, of enabling the dreams of others, of seizing every moment (because "time is all you have…and you may find one day that you have less than you think"). It was a summation of everything Randy had come to believe. It was about living.
In this book, Randy Pausch has combined the humor, inspiration and intelligence that made his lecture such a phenomenon and given it an indelible form. It is a book that will be shared for generations to come.

Brian and I LOVED this book! It is amazing. One of my favorite parts was about the brick walls and how they are only there for the people who don't want it bad enough. And I also loved how he said, "luck is when preparation meets opportunity." I LOVE that quote! Anyway, that book is awesome and I got a lot out of it too! I even gave my dad one for father's day and he loved it too.
I have heard that book was really good! I am going to have to look into reading it. When are we going to get together. I haven't seen you forever!

I saw this guy on Dateline and thought, "wow." What would it be like to know that you only had so much time here on earth. He is inspirational, I should read this book. Thanks.
